Pablo Pizarro Rosario, MD, Joins Department

Pablo Pizarro, MDPablo Pizarro Rosario, MD, joined us on Aug. 17, 2020, as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology in the Division of Critical Care Medicine.

He has more than 30 years of military service and joins us from the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia, where he has served as a staff anesthesiologist and intensivist.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in family practice. He completed his Anesthesiology Residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in Texas.

He is a member of several anesthesiology and medical organizations, and he has made several contributions to presentations and research, including on the multisensor armband for critically ill patients, acute adult supraglottitis, and acute abdominal conditions.

In his free time, he enjoys professional digital recording, jogging, and SCUBA diving.
