Adrian J. Maurer, MD, joined us on Aug. 1, 2020, as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Acute Pain Medicine.
Dr. Maurer joins us from our Acute & Perioperative Pain Medicine Fellowship, which he completed over the past year. He earned his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, and he completed his Anesthesiology Residency at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
He is a member of several anesthesiology and medical organizations, and he has made numerous contributions to the literature, with over a dozen peer-reviewed articles in press. He has also co-written chapters in several reference texts, including four book chapters in Pain: A Review Guide published by Springer in 2018. Dr. Maurer has given numerous oral and poster presentations, including at the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine Annual Meeting and the American Society of Anesthesiologists Annual Meeting.
In his free time, Dr. Maurer enjoys golf, cycling, traveling, and spending time with his wife and dog, family, and friends.
