Congratulations to Amanda Frantz, MD, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, who has been awarded a $42,110 grant from the I. Heermann Anesthesia Foundation, or IHAF.
The yearlong grant titled “Exploration of Biomarkers and Clinical Assessment of Patients Undergoing Total Knee Replacement Surgery and Their Perioperative Outcomes” will begin Sept. 20.
The purpose of the I. Heermann Anesthesia Foundation is to “encourage and support scholarly pursuits designed to enhance the field of anesthesia through clinical research, laboratory research, publication, the teaching of anesthesia and the ultimate application of such knowledge to the welfare of the patient.”
