Gordon Gibby, MD, Celebrates Retirement

On Friday, January 10, Dr. Gordon Gibby, Associate Professor in the Division of Multispecialty Anesthesiology, celebrated his retirement from the University of Florida Department of Anesthesiology after 31 years.

Dr. Gibby joined us in 1988 after completing a fellowship in Anesthesiology here at UF. He is a diplomate for the American Board of Anesthesiology and has been active in several professional societies, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Society for Technology in Anesthesia.

Dr. Gibby has devoted himself to community service, providing personal finance lectures and working as a part-time teacher for Cornerstone Academy, a Board Member for Women’s Resource and Medical Clinic, and an Advisory Board Member for Arbor House Maternity Shelter. He and his wife plan to travel to Kenya over the summer to volunteer and do some research into anesthesia practices there. When he returns he will continue to give back here in Alachua County at the Helping Hands Clinic.

Congratulations, Dr. Gibby!
