Lida Esfandiary, MD, Receives 2019 J.S. Gravenstein Award

The 2019 J.S. Gravenstein Award was presented to Lida Esfandiary, MD, at the College of Medicine’s annual Senior Student and Faculty Awards Banquet. This award is presented each year to an outstanding graduate who intends to pursue anesthesiology.

Dr. Esfandiary was selected by the UF Department of Anesthesiology leadership based on her record of achievements and demonstrated interest in anesthesiology. Before attending UF’s College of Medicine, Dr. Esfandiary earned her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Florida in 2014. She was a part of our Anesthesia Interest Group and has dedicated numerous hours to volunteer work in various organizations in the community including the Equal Access Clinic, St Francis House, and Science Outreach.

Dr. Esfandiary will join the Anesthesiology Residency Program as a PGY1 resident on July 1, 2019.
