At the last Society for Airway Management Meeting, Lauren Berkow, MD, FASA, was elected President and Felipe Urdaneta, MD, was elected President-Elect.
On top of being elected President-Elect, Dr. Urdaneta was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for his efforts to re-develop the SAM website and create an online forum for SAM members. Third-year resident, Matt Gunst, MD, also attended the meeting and brought more kudos to the department by winning Resident Jeopardy.
