Research Grant Funding Approved by NIH

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), an Institute within the National Institutes of Health (NIH), approved funding for the grant titled “Neuro-Imaging and biofluid-based Biomarker Assessments as translational pathophysiological outcome measures in TBI”.

Jiepei Zhu, PhDDepartment of Anesthesiology research assistant professor, Jiepei Zhu, PhD, is co-investigator on the project. He will be working with the principal investigator, Kevin Wang, PhD, from the Department of Emergency Medicine. The grant has been guaranteed for two years and is renewable for a third after review.

The mission of NINDS is to seek fundamental knowledge about the brain and nervous system and to use that knowledge to reduce the burden of neurological disease.
