The Florida Medical Association (FMA) held their 2017 Annual Meeting and Conference over the weekend in Orlando, Florida. Our own Lauren Berkow, MD, was there to help judge the many posters submitted for the David A. Paulus, M.D. Poster Symposium on Saturday.
Students from the University of Florida College of Medicine were amongst the winners.
Dhruv Mahtta, M.D., M.B.A, had his poster titled “Impact of Sex and Race on the Likelihood of Mortality, Cardiology Consultation, and Coronary Angiography among Hospitalized Patients Evaluated with Cardiac Troponin” chosen for platform presentation and Caitlin Butler, MD, won first place for her case study “Peripheral T Cell Lymphoma mimicking Classic Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in a patient presenting with Fevers of Unknown Origin”.
Congratulations, Gators!
