The North Central Florida chapter of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals earned the association’s highest honor, a 2017 Chapter Excellence Award, at its annual meeting this week.
A celebration on Thursday, May 11 in the HPNP plaza will recognize this achievement.
The chapter, founded in 2014, was recognized for professionalizing the research workforce through promoting ACRP Certification Programs.The CTSI Translational Workforce Development Program offers facilitated study groups for clinical research professionals seeking national certification in clinical research coordination.
Chapter representatives, including our own Judith Wishin, BSN, RN, CCRC, Assistant Director of Clinical Research, accepted the award before an audience of attendees at the ACRP 2017 Meeting and Expo in Seattle on April 30, and took home a $500 cash prize.
The ACRP has more than 13,000 professional members in more than 70 countries. It sets the standards for clinical research competence and workforce development with a mission of promoting excellence in clinical research. A key mission of the North Central Florida chapter is supporting research professionals in achieving and maintaining certification.
The research community is invited to celebrate this award with networking, sweet treats (Hyppo ice pops), and prizes at an event next week. The gathering, “A Celebration of Excellence in Research” will recognize all research professionals who have achieved and maintained certification, and will encourage others to pursue professional advancement.
