Full Steam Ahead Career Day was brought to you by the Office for Diversity & Health Equity at UF’s College of Medicine and was a great success!
This event took place on Friday, May 29, 2015, and we are proud that our anesthesiologists Drs. Robinson, Sappenfield, Reed and Giordano, as well as department members Cherrie Print, and Drew Gonsalves were on hand participating with the kids!
This one day school-wide event was a fun and engaging event for approximately 450 3rd-5th grade students at Stephen Foster Elementary School in Gainesville, where they had the opportunity to learn more about the fields of medicine, nursing and an array of professional and graduate level careers.
The educational goals and efforts of this day were focused around STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities. The students participated in a variety of hands on projects, demonstrations, and activities while learning more about potential future careers.
Thanks to our team that participated in this event!
