Dr. Nikolaus Gravenstein was awarded a Faculty Enhancement Opportunity Award to fund his project in September 2015.
The grant provided funding for the Harvard Center for Medical Simulation to come to UF to present ‘Simulation as a Teaching Tool: Instructor Training’ workshop to 20 UF educators who teach using medical simulation. The workshop combines didactic and experiential learning with practice and feedback using simulation to teach critical thinking and crisis management. It teaches participants to build a challenging and safe learning environment, utilizing effective debriefing techniques and building, conducting and debriefing simulation scenarios.
