Applying for Fellowship

Critical Care Anesthesiology (CCA) Fellowship Match

All CCA programs use the San Francisco Match program. For information about the match program and how to register, please visit the San Francisco Matching Program website. Registrations for the match program begin in November.  The Department also offers a two-year Adult Combined Cardiothoracic and Critical Care (CTCC) Fellowship.  If you are interested in this 2-year program, the application process is the same as for the CCM program.  In your personal statement, add that you are interested in the 2-year CTCC fellowship program.

Initial Steps

  • Register for the Match Program via SF Matching Program website where there is a $50 non-refundable applicant registration fee that covers registration and matching. Follow website instruction in reference to managing your account/profile for the match website.
  • All application materials must be uploaded through SF Match.  These materials include the application, personal statement, current curriculum vita, minimum of 3 letters of recommendation, copy of visa information (if applicable), copy of ECFMG Certificate (if applicable), and copies of USMLE (1,2 & 3) score reports.
