Dr.Huong Thi Thu (Cindy) Le., is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University and her Medical degree from the University of Florida. She then went to Western Pennsylvania Hospital to intern in General Surgery. She completed her residency in anesthesiology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and finished her fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Le is also a Diplomate for American Board of Anesthesiology and the Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography given by the National Board of Echocardiography. She is a member of many professional societies such as the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Florida Society of Anesthesiology, the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesia, the American Society of Anesthesiology, and the American Medical Association.
During Dr. Le’s free time she remains active in many committees and services such as Cardiac Anesthesia Residency Rotation Director, the Gulf Atlantic Anesthesia Residents Research judge, and workshop chair for many programs. In 2013, she received the Chairman’s Award for her outstanding service and dedication to the department. In 2014, she also received the UF College of Medicine Exemplary Teacher of the Year Award for outstanding teaching of medical students and residents.
