Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship Announces New Fellow

Congratulations to the Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship Program for successfully matching their position for the 2020-21 academic year! This year, our pediatric fellowship program received over 25 applications for its coveted spot which was successfully filled after a busy interview season.

Fellowship director Taran Sangari, MD, MBA, recognizes all members of the department for their hard work and support for this year’s success. Our ACGME accredited pediatric anesthesiology fellowship offered at Shands Children’s Hospital is an individually designed mixture of clinical, academic, and research experiences. We pride ourselves in providing physicians a comprehensive clinical experience with time to acquire the latest knowledge and psycho motor skills which are essential in developing as a peri-operative consultant and a leader in pediatric anesthesiology.

Our 2020-2021 Matched Fellow

Adrian Ching, MD, attended the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine and is currently pursuing residency training in Anesthesiology with us here at the University of Florida. He has published and presented at multiple conferences including a recent case report at the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia in 2019.

We are also honored to add that Katie Dietrich, MD, currently one of our Anesthesiology Chief Residents, matched at Stanford University for Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship Year 2020-2021 and Joe LaGrew, MD, our first pediatric anesthesiology fellow, successfully completed his fellowship training in September of 2019 and joined a private practice in Naples, FL.
