CSSALT Summer Intern Works on Improving Tech

Patrick Liem joined us from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, on a summer internship. While he was here with us, Liem designed and implemented new mixed-reality learning modules for the Central Venous Access Trainer, improved upon existing software to allow for virtual C-Arm manipulation using one finger touch input, and developed an in-house tool to restrict internet access on outgoing simulations, allowing for safe access to online resources. Liem also researched voice recognition and text-to-speech technology and implemented in CSSALT SMARTS-SDK platform.

Find out how you can get a fellowship at the Center for Safety, Simulation & Advanced Learning Technologies (CSSALT) here.
