AIG Event Encourages Med Students to Pursue Anesthesia

Working with the University of Florida College of Medicine’s Anesthesia Interest Group (AIG), Chris Giordano, MD, hosted a simulation lab for medical students.

Approximately 25 students attended the event where they interacted with multiple simulation stations. Anesthesia professors Chris Giordano, MD; Ferenc Rabai, MD; Sonia Mehta, MD; Cam Smith, MD, PhD; Barys Ihnatsenka, MD; and Peggy White, MD; along with third-year anesthesia resident Claudia Sotillo, MD, led demonstrations at the simulation stations.

The AIG was created to increase awareness among students in the medical field while promoting interest in anesthesia for the entire UF Medical College.
