Dr. Parsons earned his PhD in Biochemistry from Virginia Commonwealth and completed two post-doctoral studies, the first in neurology and the second in anesthesiology. His current research interests include the incidence and mechanisms of epileptogenesis in post-traumatic epilepsy associated with repetitive blast exposure, and retinal angiography as a tool for assessing outcome as related to retinal artery bubble load and for disabled submarine scenario triage.
