Welcome Dr. Heather Reed!
Dr. Reed joins us on August 8, 2016, as an Assistant Professor for the Division of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia, and comes to us from the University of Washington in Seattle, where she was a Cardiac Anesthesiology fellow. Dr. Reed earned her B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Michigan; another B.S. in Nursing at Emory University School of Nursing in Atlanta Georgia, and her M.D. from Saba University School of Medicine in Saba, Netherlands-Antilles. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Florida, where she was the Chief Resident and class representative. She currently serves as a member of the UF Department of Anesthesiology Program Evaluation Committee and Education Committee. Dr. Reed is also a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Echocardiography, the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists, and the Florida Society of Anesthesiologists. We are excited to have such an accomplished doctor joining us and we ask you to help us welcome her as a faculty member to the department and university!
