Dr. Mahla receives SNACC Teacher of the Year Award

The Society of Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care celebrated it’s 40th anniversary in October of 2012 right before the American Society of Anesthesiologists meeting. Every year the Society recognizes one of its members for their outstanding teaching efforts and focus on education.

Our very own, Dr. Michael Mahla, was the 2012 recipient of this prestigious award for dedicating over 30 years of his academic career to the education of residents, fellows, and medical students. He served as Program Director for the Department for 15 years, was then appointed Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education for the College of Medicine at the University of Florida, and then was appointed the ACGME Designated Institutional Official. We salute and honor Dr. Mahla for this outstanding achievement.
