Resident Alumnus Performs First Open Heart Surgery

Darian Rice, MD, PhD was a past chief resident with our program, and currently serves for the US Navy as Chief of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Residency Program Director at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. He is one of our many distinguished alumni, as here he performs his first open heart surgery in Belize.
